aAlthough my material for this blog comes from raising a daughter when she lives with me most of the time, these anecdotes can be applied to dads and moms, living alone or together, raising daughters and sons everywhere. It’s not just for dads or only for dads. It’s just that I try to explain things from a dad’s perspective so they can be understood simply for dads who are on their own. The fact that you’ve started to read this is already a good sign that she’ll turn out just fine!

I also want to touch on netiquette. There is no one correct way to parent. That means our opinions may vary greatly. And I am certain that discussions would get animated. If you use harsh language to describe this morning’s traffic on the freeway as an f-ing gong show – go ahead. And tell us what you did in the car to make both your experiences more bearable. If you pass judgment on a contributor’s comment and call them an f-ing freak show – your comment will get deleted. Enough said.
